Course: Building the Foundations of Psychological Health and Well-being Teacher: Kathleen GregoryDate: 22-23 October Details: Saturday 10.30am-12.30pm & 2.30 – 4.30pm, Sunday 10.30am-12.30pm Venue: Maitripa Centre, Healesville (accommodation available) Course Description This weekend course provides an opportunity in a relaxed retreat environment to explore the three foundations of psychological health from a Buddhist perspective. The foundations include:
Incorporating meditation, contemplation and discussion the aim of the course is to deepen our understanding and experience of the foundations as a working basis for both developing and maintaining our well-being. The recent 8-week course on Buddhism for Psychotherapy: Facilitating Psychological Health is a useful introduction to the course material, but is not a prerequisite for the weekend program. About the Teacher Dr Kathleen Gregory is a counselling psychologist, academic, and has been a Buddhist practitioner for over sixteen years. She has an MA in Psychoanalytic Studies and a PhD in Comparative Philosophy. She coordinates the Master of Counselling program at La Trobe University, works in private practice, and has been a regular presenter at the E-Vam Institute on Buddhism and Psychotherapy. |
